My very first SCUBA Frog!Click on pic for more details!
My very first SCUBA Frog! I was so proud of this! I created this bead in July of 2008, just before the ISGB Gathering in Oakland. I was so excited since this was my first Gathering (an international glass bead maker conference) that I got to "debut" my SCUBA frogs!
This little diver is pretty basic. He has his mask, fins, tank and reg, floating along with some jellyfish.

My SCUBA frogs began getting a bit more detail. I added dichro for some nice sparkle, and the frogs got more equipment, like a little tiny weight belt. The fish and barnacles were beginning to get brighter too!

Of course, being a California diver myself, I had to create CA SCUBA Frog! This little diver is floating in the kelp forest reef, let's just say Catalina Island. And he's come acorss a young Garibaldi, which is a common encounter around here.
MY best one yet!Click on pic for more details!
MY best one yet! This was my favorite SCUBA frog. The encased kelp looked very cool growing up from a busy rocky reef. The frog has on a black "wetsuit "(it's cold down there!) and has come in contact with another baby Garibaldi!
The bead looked perfect on a kelp green silk ribbon and dangles of mother of pearl, sterling seashell and dolphin added the final touches!
