The Mandrel is my favorite, local place to pick up glass (with all the newest colors), tools, rent torch time and maybe take a class...and sometimes for me, just to hang out!

Sharon Peters Lampworked Glass Beads and my favorite instructor ever! Funny, wacky, inspirational and she makes HUGE beads! Check it out, it's guaranteed fun!

Pati Walton is well known for her beautiful aquarium beads as well as murrinis. I was thrilled to enjoy a three day workshop with Pati and her wonderful husband, Johnny Olson, to learn murrinis, along with an array of other tips and tricks. Pati's beads are beautiful in photos, but to see them in person, WOW, they are quite amazing!

Kate Fowle Melaney is an amazing bead artist as well as an amazing instructor. Her class was so full of info, I am thinking of taking it again next year! Electro-forming, painting, enamels, metals, reduction glass...you name it, we played with it. Kate was more than happy to demo anything we wanted to see and really is a bounty of bead knowledge! Oh did I mention her beads are GORGEOUS too!

The Glass Hive Deb Crowley was (and still is!) an inspiration for me with her ability to create realistic looking fish from glass. I have been fortunate enough to have been part of her workshops as well as Glass Stock 2004!

Beadmakers of North County (BNC) is a wonderful glass working facility in Escondido, CA. Learn to make beads, expand your knowledge or just stop by to shop!

GrnEyd Designs Tina Crocker is a very talented jewelry designer! Tina and I met at the Northrup craft fair a couple of years ago and since then we have shared booths and ideas. Tina uses her own fused glass pieces in some of her designs and also some Jujee Beads!

Frantz Glass has a great selection of glass and tools, good prices and very friendly service!

Arrow Springs is another frequently visited glass stop for me!

Diving Turtle I have had the pleasure of being on the same dive trip with Judith on several occasions. She is a wonderful person who loves the ocean with the same passion I feel. She has even written a book about her experiences underwater called The Universe Next Door: A Personal Odyssey. Be sure to checkout Judy's, and her husband John's, underwater photos from around the world.

Jim's Website Jim Lyle, a good friend and dive buddy, has been all around the world (literally!) diving with his lovely wife Deborah. He has taken some amazing photos and writes very entertaining and thorough trip reports. If you have thought about taking a trip and it's near an ocean, have a look...he has probably been there!
